It is a question of the present for future action, the correct answer of which means making a forecast, in construction terms it means making a cost estimate. This estimate can be done in two ways: 1) using a value x sq.ft of construction, 2) making a detailed calculation

The first one gives a universal value that is generally better used by professionals in the construction sector (architects, engineers, contractors, real estate agents), who know how to deal with this value.

The second option is the most suitable for a citizen interested in knowing how much he will invest in the construction of his house; it guides him in the cost to spend for each activity (item) involved in the construction and, with this, getting as close as possible to the total cost that they will spend, but it also gives them the option of controlling the prices of the inputs that intervene in the construction ( materials and labor).

DIGitalSolutions-Lab develops detailed construction cost estimates to make them available to all citizens who constantly seek to know how much the construction of their houses and residential projects would cost them. Therefore, it presents and makes available to you digital applications designed to be used by any citizen who needs to know this information.

These cost estimates has been configured in two ways: first, preparing a digital worksheet based on unit prices per work item which is the method most used by builders and engineers; the second, preparing a digital worksheet based on direct quotes for inputs (materials, labor), a method that can be adopted by any citizen without the need to be an engineer.

In both cases, the user can manipulate both unit prices and input prices, both the unit price worksheet and the input price worksheet have a column called 'price' which is open so that the user may update the value of any item depending on whether it has changed due to inflation or for readjustment to prices in your city of residence, or for other reasons.

This means that the listed estimates can be: (1) based on unit prices or (2) based on direct quotations of input prices.
It is up to the user to decide which one to choose.
